At acuatours we believe in conservation as being the primary objective for travel activity. Our eco-concious society demands that we justify carbon producing behaviour in every detail of our lives. We are responding to market demands by creating a range of travel products that not only deliver a unique traveller experience, but one that benefits the societies and eco-systems that we visit.
This ethos is key to our development and we hope that by browsing our travel itineraries that you will be able to see how we have integrated each of our programs with a local requirement for conservation action.

You can see on the left hand menu that we have programs in Ecuador, Africa and the UK. Feel free to browse these pages to see how we you can get involved.

Ecuador is one of the most bio diverse countries in the world but also one of the most exploited. There is a hive of conservation activity in this small equatorial country and we have tapped into this field with the backing of five years experience of living and working there. Our programs include Manta Ray conservation with one of the world's most significant populations of Manta birostris, and we have several programs under development in the Andes, Cloud Forest and Amazon basin regions. We work in tamdem with one of Ecuador's most prolific conservation scientists to bring you totally unique experiences whilst helping out the region's flora and fauna. Programs for 2010 include Harpie Eagle tagging, Condor observation and monitoring and Spectacled Bear tracking and observation.

In South Africa, we join prominent shark conservationists to swim with and learn about our most magnificent but endangered ocean predators including great whites, tigers and bull sharks.
In the UK we have the unique oportunity to be face to face, swimming with giant Basking Sharks and to learn about conservation requirements of the marine environment. We also undertake wildlife photography field trips and tuition in the Isle of Wight's Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

We feel that Acuatours offers some of the most unique and exciting conservation tourism and volunteering programs on the market today and we sincerely hope that you will join us for one of our programs for this coming year.
